Smart and Skilled is a reform of the NSW vocational education and training system. It will give people the chance to gain the skills they need to get a job and advance their careers.
Smart and Skilled was implemented in 2014 with an entitlement to government subsidised training which commenced 1 January 2015.
Go to the Smart and Skilled website at www.smartandskilled.nsw.gov.au for up to date student information. The website enables you to check your eligibility and to find a Smart and Skilled course and approved training provider that meets your needs, as well as estimate your fee.
Prices, fees and subsidies and the 2017 NSW Skills List have been released, which identifies courses that help people get the skills they need to find a job.
The Smart and Skilled website also has information specifically for school leavers, apprentices, trainees, employers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, and students with disabilities. Visit www.smartandskilled.nsw.gov.au for the most up to date information.
To enrol into a Smart and Skilled program with AQTI please contact our office to be emailed a Pre-Training Review Form, so we can determine your training needs. Once completed AQTI will contact you to confirm your LLN and the start date of your training. On the first day of the program you will meet with a representative from AQTI and complete the Learner Registration Form.You MUST bring with you: -Photo ID -Valid USI -Centrelink Customer reference Number -Proof of eligibility for Fee exemptions -Green Medicare Card Humanitarian Visa Holders -Relevant visa documentation -ImmiCard
